McCall Wines, located on the North Fork of Long Island, in the town of Cutchogue, has proudly been farming and producing award winning wines since 2007. After a few trips out to the East End of Long Island, I established that McCall Wines was my favorite local winery and I wanted to spread the word on this amazing winery. Understanding McCall Wines was both trying to get its product into restaurants, in addition to retail locations, the owner, Russ McCall, and I determined we would target top restaurants on Long Island for hosting events for the purposes of creating relationships with them and leading to new accounts. One example of this successful approach was the East End Harvest Wine Dinner at Kingfish Oyster Bar and Restaurant featuring McCall Wines on November 17th. At this wonderful dinner for a few dozen attendees, Russ McCall shared his thoughts on the complementary pairing of his wines with the four-course dinner by the renowned celebrity chef, Tom Schaudel. Tom personally prepared the entire dinner and also offered his thoughts on what makes Long Island special during harvest time. The event offered an amazing experience for all attendees and Tom Schaudel started carrying McCall wines in his restaurant.
