Saturday, June 6th saw the 2nd Live At Boomer’s, ‘live from your front yard’ concert. The featured musician was the very talented front man, Gary Sellers, of the self-titled band. Gary hails out of Mt. Sinai and offered attendees in the Plainview neighborhood a fantastic blues, folk and classic rock show. The great thing about these front yard pop-up shows is how easy they are to setup. The musicians come with all the necessary sound equipment and because the setup is so light it’s able to adjust with any layout or weather situation. This past Saturday we saw some serious weather pass through but we were able to adjust with the situation and move the equipment into the garage for 20 min.
Boomer Productions has challenged the previous notion of needing to go somewhere to find quality professional music entertainment. In this post Covid-19 world, the live show can come to you! With the proximity of houses to one another in most Long Island neighborhoods, neighbors can chip in a modest amount of money with one another and enjoy a pop-up show on any block for two or three hours. Neighbors can stay safe, drink their own beer, and have a great time getting to know each other better. Live at Boomer’s can consult you on what day and time to host the show and where to setup.
