Many of those who know Ari Goldblatt, founder and owner of Boomer Productions, know he is an avid surfer and has been enjoying the waves off Long Island since he was five years old. So, it is particularly rewarding for Boomer Productions to be working with such an accomplished and prestigious surf school like Nosara Surf Academy, which has been operating in Nosara, Costa Rica for over 20 years.
Right out of the gate Boomer Productions optimized the Nosara Surf Academy’s website with server upgrades and a number of other back-end updates and fixings that both reduced page load time, reduce malicious digital attacks, and improved its overall security standing so as to welcome more traffic and engagement. Also, realizing many people in cold weather locations just need an excuse to find a warm weather getaway, Boomer Productions launched a social media campaign and Google Ads campaign that appealed to both avid surfers and people looking to learn how to surf. As of the date of publication, all efforts have resulted in a dramatic increase in online traffic to Nosara Surf’s website (50% more users & 45% more engagement) and steady increased bookings for the business.

With our client, GraBar Fish & Seafood, first-hand knowledge of their business as a satisfied customer of theirs and seeing their physical operation caused us to realize there were a multitude of earned media story angles for what they bring to market. Through Boomer’s contacts with local media, we were able to successfully secure five separate news segments with News12 Long Island.
In late 2020, there were on-air features on how GraBar Fish gave back to their local community through product donation to a local foodbank and what constitutes the Feast of the Seven Fishes for Christmas Eve. In Spring 2021 GraBar Fish product was featured in a News12 LI Tasty Tuesday segment for one of their top clients, Teller’s Steakhouse. Lasty, in the summer of 2021, GraBar received two separate Tasty Tuesday Segments on News12 LI when their in-house chef, Joe Luchese, presented viewers on what fish to put on the grill and what seafood appetizers to showcase during summer backyard parties and bar-b-ques.
These on-air TV features resulted in sharp spikes in web traffic, google search hits, and new followers on their social media channels. Successful public relations campaigns are an important marketing tool any small business can benefit from with proper planning and execution.
Live At Boomer’s Virtual Music Hall

With the restrictions placed on public gatherings and efforts to maintain social distancing, the live music and entertainment industry, and artists that rely on it, were significantly negatively impacted by Covid19. In an effort to lessen the blow for local musicians, Ari Goldblatt, Founder and owner of Boomer Productions, a Long Island based marketing and events company, created an online and social media-based entertainment service that offered local musicians an opportunity to continue to perform in front of a live VIRTUAL audience. Utilizing Facebook Live, Ari Goldblatt, through Boomer Productions Facebook Page, streamed live musical performances with artists who are performing from their own residences. Boomer Productions has worked with these artists in the past when promoting live in-person shows throughout Long Island and NYC. As part of this collaboration with local musicians, Boomer Productions executes promotional campaigns for each upcoming show and during the live stream he asks viewers to donate to the virtual “tip jar”. Understanding local residents were discouraged to go anywhere, the live music performances met a real demand and were welcomed by people who want to remain social and enjoy quality entertainment. In addition, Live At Boomer’s provided an outlet for local musicians to continue to entertain audiences and bring some revenue in.
Live At Boomer’s hosted over 70 virtual live music shows, generated over 100K video views, raised thousands of dollars for local and national philanthropic initiatives, and hosted a dozen of front and backyard performances. Carrom and Jolly Time Popcorn Holiday Season Promotion
Client: Carrom Company
As part of the 2019 Holiday Season, Boomer Productions felt it was important for Carrom Company, manufacturer of classic family games like Nok Hockey, Carrom Game Board, Foosball and others, to drive home the message of the holidays being all about family time. In addition to a marketing campaign including organic social posts, paid Facebook and Google AdWords, a strong brand partnership would afford the Carrom Company increased brand awareness and distribution of the family time message. When it comes to family game nights, which are most common during the holiday season, there isn’t a more perfect gaming snack than popcorn. Boomer Productions approached the biggest and oldest popcorn producer in the country, Jolly Time Popcorn, with a proposal for partnership focused around a social media-based promotion. From December 3 to December 10, Carrom and Jolly Time Popcorn launched a contest on Jolly Time’s Facebook page that asked people to comment on their favorite family game night activity. Anyone who liked both brand pages, and commented on the post, were automatically entered to win one of ten Carrom and Jolly Time Prize Packs that included a Carrom game and Jolly Time products and branded premiums. Because of the successful awareness generating promotion, Carrom’s Facebook followers increased by 33% to over 5.3 followers and the co-branded promotional social post netted over 2K comments, 238 shares, 1.7K likes.
Rockaway Brew Cruiser
Client: Rockaway Brewing Co.
Rockaway Brewing Company has locations in two of the most exciting and buzzworthy spots in Queens, and perhaps the whole city – Long Island City and Rockaway Beach. Because of this fact, the brewery wanted to better connect the great people of both communities by better linking them during summer beach season. In 2019, Boomer Productions Inc. and Rockaway Brewing Co. collaborated to create a public shuttle bus service, called the Rockaway Brew Cruiser, which would enable people to more easily enjoy New York City’s blossoming beach community at the Rockaway’s. With an approximate 45-minute drive time, the Brew Cruiser and its six loops every Saturday, between June 1 and August 31, proved to be a significantly quicker and more enjoyable way to Rockaway Beach. In 2019 the Rockaway Brew Cruiser Operated every Saturday for 14 weeks, servicing nearly a 1,000 passengers with an average 4.6 out of 5 star rating. In addition, Boomer Productions Inc. was responsible for generating millions of media impressions with over 10 unique media placements in publications ranging from the New York Times, Thrillist, Time Out, Grub Street, QNS.com, NY1 and many more. Boomer Productions is scheduled to once again deliver the Rockaway Brew Cruiser in the summer of 2020.
Curating The Best of Long Island
Client: McCall Wines
McCall Wines, located on the North Fork of Long Island, in the town of Cutchogue, has proudly been farming and producing award winning wines since 2007. After a few trips out to the East End of Long Island, I established that McCall Wines was my favorite local winery and I wanted to spread the word on this amazing winery. Understanding McCall Wines was both trying to get its product into restaurants, in addition to retail locations, the owner, Russ McCall, and I determined we would target top restaurants on Long Island for hosting events for the purposes of creating relationships with them and leading to new accounts. One example of this successful approach was the East End Harvest Wine Dinner at Kingfish Oyster Bar and Restaurant featuring McCall Wines on November 17th. At this wonderful dinner for a few dozen attendees, Russ McCall shared his thoughts on the complementary pairing of his wines with the four-course dinner by the renowned celebrity chef, Tom Schaudel. Tom personally prepared the entire dinner and also offered his thoughts on what makes Long Island special during harvest time. The event offered an amazing experience for all attendees and Tom Schaudel started carrying McCall wines in his restaurant.

Blue Water Spa is a premium spa in historic Oyster Bay offering exceptional skin and body treatments to loyal customers for thirteen years. While the spa is second to none in the service treatments they deliver they wanted to get more sophisticated in how they approach their marketing and ultimately attract new clients. Boomer Productions was brought on to elevate their marketing approach and has executed multiple successful programs: established promotional partnerships with other local small businesses, launched new advanced service treatments, rolled out social influencer partnerships, executed promotional events, launched email campaigns, produced video content for social media and more. The collective efforts helped Blue Water Spa achieve an average monthly YOY revenue increase of 52% since Boomer Productions joined the team.
Best Brews of New York City
Client: Brookfield Place New York
Brookfield Place New York in downtown Manhattan was looking to bring fun, buzz-worthy events to their complex as a means to draw first time attendees and cause corporate workers to spend more time on premise after work. In response I led a team that developed a fun four week event series called “Best Brews of New York City”, which was created to showcase the best craft breweries the city had to offer. In addition to developing the event and competition concept, I sourced all fifteen participating NYC based craft breweries, incorporated a live music component and delivered a pop-up bar experience in the middle of the Brookfield Place’s iconic Winter Garden. The result was a total attendance of 4.7K plus attendees, 140 million media impressions, and over $65K donated to the affiliated cause partner.
US Open Fan Experience
Client: American Express
American Express tasked my team with creating an experience for US Open Tennis fans that showcased the American Express brand and associated service in the way only Cardmembers have come to expect. In 2011, reimagined in 2012 and still in existence today, I led the creation of the US Open American Express Fan Experience. The purpose of the Fan Experience was to authentically deliver value and service to US Open fans that ultimately got them closer to their passion for tennis or addressed pain points associated with visiting a massive sports event. I led a team that executed my vision for turning a 20,000 Sq. ft. indoor court tennis facility into a two-story American Express Cardmember club that featured the only official US Open court that offered fans live tennis play, a climate controlled private cafe, offered 10 minute complimentary private tennis lessons by certified pros, kids clinics, hitting sessions with pros, meet & greets with tour professionals and showcased the latest technological fan enhancements for people to play with and learn about tennis. As a result of the activation over 10K people each US Open enjoyed the experience, over 250 million media impressions were generated, and industry awards were won for American Express and associated teams.
NBC Sports Lawn @ SXSW
Client: NBC Sports
Client NBC Sports was a sponsor of the SXSW Sports Conference and in an effort to connect and establish their presence with conference goers, we created the NBC Sports Lawn, providing a much needed respite and break from the all-day panels and lectures. The NBC Sports Lawn @ SXSW offered attendees the chance to play traditional lawn games, grab a local craft beer on tap at our bar, participate in an interactive “Make the Call” broadcaster challenge, and take a photo with the British Open Trophy, all while enjoying the comfortable Austin weather on our beautiful lawn at the Four Seasons. In addition to providing the listed daily programming, we hosted special events including a conversation with NBC Sports NASCAR Broadcasters Rutledge Wood, Rick Allen Steve LeTarte & NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver, Austin Dillon. The session previewed NBC Sports’ upcoming broadcast of the second half of the NASCAR season. Another event included an exclusive Olympic discussion and Rio preview with NBC Olympics Executives Jim Bell & John Miller, Olympian Tara Lipinski, & Golf Channel Analyst David Feherty. We met NBC Sports’ objectives for the activation by maintaining a steady crowd of conference goers and receiving very positive feedback from SXSW officials and attendees.
